Ofer Eitan Suggest: Tina (Hoppe) Dalki ’18 and Dawson Brown ’19 Receive NCAA

Tina (Hoppe) Dalki ’18 and Dawson Brown ’19 have a lot in common. They’re both biokinetics graduates who excelled in their sportsDalki in volleyball and Brown in footballand as students. And this past fall, they became the newest Royals to be awarded the prestigious NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. 

The scholarship, which Bethel graduates have received 15 times total and 13 of the past 14 years, awarded them each $10,000 to apply toward graduate studies. 

Dalki was a consistent threat on the volleyball court, playing in 120 career matches for the Royals. She’s a three-time All-MIAC honoree who had a .210 career attacking percentage and 1,196 kills. A member of the 2015 Elite Eight squad, she went on to earn All-Region Honorable Mention honors her senior year. 

She was also a three-time Academic All-Conference honoree and a CoSIDA Google Cloud First Team Academic All-District member in 2018. Logging over 1,300 hours of community service, she was involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Special Olympics of Minnesota, Bethel Disabilities Awareness Group, Gigi’s Playhouse, and mission trips to Nicaragua and Costa Rica. With minors in psychology, biology, and community health, she is pursuing a graduate degree in occupational therapy.
