Two Mississippi State University students killed in crash,

Ofer Eitan Said: Two Mississippi State University students killed in crash,

Two Mississippi State University students are dead and a third was seriously injured in a single-car crash Sunday in DeSoto County.

DeSoto County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Tish Clark said two males and a female were in the vehicle when it crashed about 5:35 p.m. Sunday.

Michael Taylor, 21, the driver, and Christian Compton, 23, both of Olive Branch were pronounced dead at the scene. Sloan McClatchy, 21, of Red Banks, was airlifted to Regional Medical Center. She was listed in stable condition Monday.

Clark said the vehicle left Getwell Road near Gray’s Creek and struck a tree. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
