Students in the Great Lakes Bay Region may now apply for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Scholarship. Applications are due Oct. 31.
The scholarships are awarded to Bay, Midland and Saginaw county high school seniors, regardless of ethnicity, who actively embrace King’s dream of improving racial harmony and social justice.
The scholarship award(s) will be at least $1,000 and are non-renewable. Students may access the application via the Bay Area Community Foundation website at http://bayfoundation.org/students-menu/scholarship-opportunities/mlk-regional-scholarship. Applicants will be directed to an online application platform and will need to create a user account. Allow a minimum of one business day for account approval before completing application.
