29 Jan Jonathan Cartu Implies: Kick Off the University Programs’ Black History Month Movie
Celebrate Black History Month at movie night in the University Programs Video Theater on the fourth floor of the Arkansas Union (ARKU 423) with a showing of Black Panther at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4. Admission is free and there will be popcorn and treats provided!
Black Panther stars an award-winning cast including Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, and Oscar-winning Lupita Nyong’o. Some argue Black Panther was the most important film of 2018. T’Challa, heir to the hidden but advanced kingdom of Wakanda, must step forward to lead his people into a new future and must confront a challenger from his country’s past. (IMDB description)
This is the first of the Black History Month movie series. Other movies in series include Green Book (PG-13) on Feb. 18 and Harriet (PG-13) on Feb. 27.
