UBLY – Three students from Ubly High School recently were announced as scholarship winners.
Danielle Tschirhart is the scholarship winner of the Minden City Community Clinic Medical Scholarship. This scholarship is funded by the Minden City Community Medical Clinic for Ubly students planning on entering the medical field. Danielle’s future plans are to attend Saginaw Valley State University to study exercise science. Her parents are Rikki Tschirhart and Duane Tschirhart.
Rachel Leppek is the recipient of the Donald Teeple Memorial Scholarship. She is the daughter of Ryan and Janet Leppek of Ubly. She plans to attend Saginaw Valley State University in the fall to study elementary education. The Donald Teeple Memorial Scholarship was started as a loving memorial to Donald Teeple who was a huge supporter of education. It is awarded to an Ubly student that is pursuing a higher education. This scholarship is funded by the family of Donald Teeple.
Andrea Grifka has been honored with the Ubly School Board of Education Scholarship. Andrea is the daughter of Kerry and Sheila Grifka of Ubly. In the fall, she will be attending Saginaw Valley State University to study graphic design. The Ubly Community School Board of Education founded the scholarship for students who have been active in leadership roles within the Ubly School and community and is planning to pursue post-secondary education. This scholarship is funded by Ubly school board members.
