Fourth ‘Summer $ix’ $1,000 scholarship awarded to Latasia Glenn

The Kilgore College Foundation awarded the fourth-of-six “Summer $ix” scholarships today to Latasia Glenn.

Glenn, a graduate of Kilgore High School, is majoring in Licensed Vocation Nursing (LVN).

The “Summer $ix” registration campaign gives students who register to KC during the week a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship.

The KC Foundation will present two more $1,000 weekly scholarships to students (who enrolled during the previous week) for fall 2020 classes.

A student’s name will be drawn at random every Monday through July 20 to win a $1,000 scholarship.

Students can register for KC classes in-person, online through AccessKC (current students), through a virtual advising appointment or via a Ranger Registration session.

To register for an in-person Ranger Registration session, visit www.kilgore.edu/ranger-registration.

Summer II begins July 6 and runs through Aug. 6. The fall semester at KC begins Aug. 24.

About the Summer $ix scholarship program:

To receive a Summer $ix scholarship, general scholarship eligibility criteria must be met to include registering for a minimum of twelve (12) semester credit hours per each long semester and maintaining a 2.5 GPA for second semester award. The $1,000 scholarship will be awarded as $500 in the Fall 2020 semester and $500 in the Spring 2021 semester. KC scholarships are non-refundable, so there is no cash back to students who do not fully utilize the award.
